International World Peace Foundation is founded on lies.
This is because peace is taboo in Christianity and Islam and even in Judaism. Read my blog,
http://aaryavrt.blogspot.com/2007/09/peace-is-taboo-in-islam-and_27.html
Peace is taboo in Islam. (Koran 2:216). Allah commands, "Fight until persecution, which is worse than slaughter, (Koran, 2:191) is no more and religion is all for Allah." (Koran 8:39) Those Muslims who did not adopt crusade (Jihad) and observed peace have been consigned by Allah to their grave hell, since the inception of Islam. They would bear the punishment till Qayamat i.e the Day of Judgment. However, those who plundered, murdered, raped women of non-Muslims, became Ghazi if survived and secured instant supreme heaven (Firdaus) if slain. Allah is fraud. Allah promises heaven but consigns Muslims in hell till The Day of Judgment.
Similarly, Jesus says in Bible, "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." (Bible, Matt 10:34). and that he has come on the earth to bring fire. (Bible, Luke 12:49).

Dear all,
There are vey alarming articles in The Wall Street Journal and Yahoo news of August 23, 2010 and these are:
1. Yahoo news: "Enron Accounting" Has Bankrupted America: U.S. Deficit Really $202 Trillion". It states briefly that Congress has engaged in Enron accounting says Kotlikoff (He is a professor of economics at Boston University and Author of "Jimmy Stewart Is Dead: Ending the World's Ongoing Financial Plague with Limited Purpose Banking") who recently wrote for Bloomberg entitled: The U.S. is bankrupt and We Don't Even Know it. In time, the U.S. will have a major inflation problem to rival that of Germany's post WW I weimar Republic...We need to perform heart surgery on this economy...Barring that, your hard-earned dollars will soon be worthless.." ...We are "Worse than Greece".
2. The Wall Street Article on page A-15, "How States Hide Their Budget Deficits". The SEC's charges against New Jersey for misleading investors should warn other states against sweeping the truth under the rug".
These articles are again warning us that deceit and greed brought us to an extremely unsustainable level of deficits in trillions of dollars. Whether it will be inflation, hyperinflation or deflation I leave it the experts and economists about the level of deficit and what will be the scenario-inflation or deflation. But certainly it seems that the U.S. deficit has already reached alarming levels. I appeal to the leadership of President and Congress to please do not postpone it to the next Congress or the President to deal with it.
To fundamentally change the behavior (which is the root cause of our troubles) of the people addicted to doing wrong things over and over-it applies to leaders as well as public, we need to follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. We need a world peace foundation based on Mahatma Gandhi's ideals. This will help to control terrorism and economic mess and guide to face other challenges facing our world in turmoil.
Thank you all.
With heavy heart,

Dear all,
there is an interesting article in LA Times dated August 22, 2010 on page A-30, "Can't stop the greed". This article is written by Neal Gabler, public policy scholar at Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, USA.
This article is well written and primarily talks about the reasons for the collapse of financial institution and how the human behavior of greed caused it. It further states in favor of more taxes on the rich, etc. And it states that as the taxes were lowered from 94% (President FDR raised in 1933 after the Great Depression) to now 28%. As a rsult of it greed and corruption have exploded.
But it falls short to address the ills that are inflicting USA, Europe or to say the world. It is a total decline of virtues that human beings are suppose to live with.
It is true that human behavior is responsible for the the ills of horrible deficits and and the greed that has seeped not only the banking and financial institutions but to entire society irrespective of government, people and corporations.
We in USA and other parts of the world have been living beyond means-government, people and corporations. We have become addicted to consume more- buy more and more on borrowed money. The entitlement programs have become too big and we cannot afford these. Social Security system is broke. Education system is failing. We have a very large number of unwed mothers, divorce rate is 55% or more. Sex and inferno of greed has taken over our conscience. This has been destroying our every thing-our financial security, values and destruction of human values. People on welfare want more and more, rich want more and more, we want sex for life; we want every thing now as if there is no tomorrow. The list goes on and on. The result is that our Federal government has a structural deficit of $50 trillion and increasing. States are broke, cities are broke and people are broke. Nothing is working.
The question is why and how it is happening. It is not a question of poor or rich question any more. We must bring virtuous values for our survival. Knowledge and wealth are useless without a virtuous life. It applies to all-rich and poor alike. We must build a nation of virtuous values. Otherwise we are responsible for our collapse and misery- every thing. Greed and corruption will ultimately destroy all of us. We are lost.
World needs to change. It is an absolute truth, "Life begins and life ends". We must come to senses and search our soul where we are going. We as human beings are destroying our selves and others. This cannot be the purpose of life. We must stop and start thinking who we are; where we are going what is the purpose of life. We have created an inferno of desires. One desire gets fulfilled then the other creeps up and there is no end to it. This is what is destroying all of us.
It might sound as if this is just like sermon from the roof top. My dear fellows, it is not true. We are slowly but surely moving in the direction of self-destruction. Our world is faced with many challenges threatening to destroy all of us like population explosion, dwindling natural resources, ego and deep divisions among nations and people, terrorism, nuclear proliferation and much more.
We must assess each one of us, what were are what our purpose-is it just eat, dink and marry? Are we happy by doing so? NO. Certainly not. If it was true, our nation-America-the richest and prosperous nation would have the most happy people on earth. But it is not so. We are the most frustrated people on earth. We live on borrowed money. We create Federal deficits of $50 trillion!!! We want to cut Social Securities payments; we want to cut pensions; banks pay .5% interest on CDs (It is a joke). How can seniors and others can live on such an absurd rate of interest being kept so low to make banks profitable at the cost of savers and seniors; entitlement programs, medical are all broke. What a world under the name of prosperity we have created! We have become the most selfish, greedy (greed is good), corrupt nation and we live on borrowed money all the time. It is a ticking bomb. What a role model we are to the other nations. We are destroying ourselves no one from outside is coming to destroy us-it is destruction with in inflicted by us- no one else.
Think about it. I appeal to media, corporations, and government, please set the right tone so that people come to senses and try to instill virtues. Without this we are doomed not only with the drowning debt but as a nation of ideals as laid down by our Founding Fathers. We have become an inferno of desires- instant gratification. We need not to blame greed, corruption and other ills. We have sowed the seeds of it. We are the one have to change. It is good for indivuals and society on the whole.
We must follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi if human race has to survive as Americans and people around the world.
Thank you all.
With heavy heart,
Santosh C. Verma

Dear honorable,media professionals and fellows,
Terrorism is on the rise around the world. we are losing this battle. Afghanistan and Pakistan are the most troubling regions and stronghold of Taliban. Now Uganda is in trouble due to Somalian terrorists attacks. These Somalian terrorists are from Pakistan and USA (Minnesota).
Please read the following:
The solution offered by Robert Blackwill former US Ambassador to India and now Senior fellow at the Rand Corporationmay not be the best but it is good start. If USA pullsout from Afhanistan, we will suffer the consequences immensely. We are facing Jihadists around the world, primarily incubated from Pakistan.

End of the game
Posted: Tue Jul 13 2010, 03:10 hrs
Former US ambassador to India, former deputy national security adviser in the Bush administration and now senior fellow at the RAND Corporation, Robert Blackwill has outlined a new strategy for the US to deal with the Afghan Taliban, at minimum cost to American and allied forces. In one sense, it can be interpreted as the inexorable strategic logic that is bound to propel US action, sooner or later. Simply put, the strategy suggests that the US accept a de facto partition of Afghanistan between Pashtun and non-Pashtun areas, concentrate its forces in non-Pashtun areas, and maintain an effective air force including drones and special forces to strike relentlessly at the Taliban leadership in Pashtun areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Blackwill is compelled to advocate this strategy, given Pakistan's double game in dealing with the Afghan Taliban, corruption and the increasing alienation of the Karzai government, the inefficiency and combat-unworthiness of the Afghan forces being raised, and the tribal divisions in Pashtun Afghanistan. He argues that American and allied casualties are not commensurate with the results achieved, and are not likely to be, despite surges of various magnitudes. So he advocates adopting new policy goals for Afghanistan that, realistically, have a better chance of succeeding. This means accepting a de facto partition enforced by US and NATO air power and special forces, the Afghan army and international partners. The US should retain an active combat role in Afghanistan for years to come and should not accept permanent Taliban control of the south.
But the US should be ready to assist tribal leaders on the Pashtun periphery, who may decide to resist the Taliban. The focus will be on defending the northern and western regions — containing roughly 60 per cent of the population. These areas, including Kabul, are not Pashtun dominated, and locals are largely sympathetic to US efforts. The US should offer the Afghan Taliban an agreement in which neither side seeks to enlarge its territory — if the Taliban stopped supporting terrorism, a proposal that they would almost certainly reject.
In those circumstances the US should make it clear that it would rely heavily on air power and special forces to target any Al Qaeda base in Afghanistan, as well as Afghan Taliban leaders who aided them. They would also target Afghan Taliban encroachments across the de-facto partition lines and terrorist sanctuaries along the Pakistan border. This may require a longtime residual US military force in Afghanistan of about 40,000 to 50,000 troops. Tajiks, Uzbeks, Hazaras and anti-Taliban Pashtuns could be mobilised in this endeavour, as well as NATO allies, Russia, India, Iran, perhaps China, and Central Asian nations. Afghan army training could be accelerated and also nation-building efforts in the northern and western regions, where, unlike the Pashtun areas, people are not systematically coerced by the Taliban. In due course, a stronger Afghan National Army could take control of the Pashtun areas. He argues that "such fundamentally changed US objectives and strategies regarding Afghanistan would dramatically reduce US military casualties and thus minimise domestic political pressure for hasty withdrawal. It would substantially lower our budget-breaking military expenditures on Afghanistan — now nearly $7 billion per month. This would also allow the US Army and Marines to recover from years of fighting two ground wars; increase the likelihood that our coalition allies, with fewer casualties, might remain over the long term; encourage most of Afghanistan's neighbours to support an acceptable stabilisation of the country and reduce Islamabad's ability to parlay the US ground role in southern Afghanistan into tolerance for terrorism emanating from Pakistan."
He accepts that there are problems with this approach: "The Taliban could trumpet victory or not accept a sustained status quo and continually test US resolve. It is likely that lower-level violence would persist in Afghanistan for the foreseeable future, especially in the south... Pashtun Afghanistan could again become a hotbed of international terrorism, a dangerous outcome that probably could only be avoided by US combat forces fighting there for years — and, in any case, the current Al Qaeda epicentre is in Pakistan."
In the context of de facto partition, Blackwill argues, "the sky over Pashtun Afghanistan would be dark with manned and unmanned coalition aircraft — targeting not only terrorists but the new Taliban government in all its dimensions". He accepts that "Pakistan would likely oppose de facto partition. Managing Islamabad's reaction would be no easy task — not least because the Pakistan military expects a strategic gain once the US military withdraws from Afghanistan. Indeed, Islamabad might need to be persuaded to concentrate, with the United States, on defeating the Pakistan Taliban and containing the Afghan Taliban to avoid momentum toward a fracturing of the Pakistan state."
The last sentence is pregnant with dark forebodings for Pakistan. A Taliban-dominated Pashtun Afghanistan and Pakistani Pashtun areas under Pakistani Taliban influence are likely to move towards their long-cherished goal of scrapping the Durand Line and uniting to form the independent Pashtunistan. If that were to happen, Baloch, Sindhi and Balti nationalist assertions cannot be far behind. The Taliban dominated Pashtunistan may conclude a deal with the US to break off with al-Qaeda and other terrorist organisations. In that event, Pakistan, instead of gaining strategic depth in Afghanistan will be in danger of losing Pashtun areas of Pakistan. In the alternative theTaliban may continue its links with Al Qaeda and other terrorist organisations. In that case, their anger at being constantly hit by US airpower may turn on the Pakistan army and state with terrorist attacks on Pakistani Punjab being stepped up.
The Blackwill article is a clear warning to the Pakistan army leadership and its supporters in the government who have deluded themselves and even persuaded a large number of policy makers and analysts in US, India and the West that the Pakistan army has all the aces in this game and the US is desperately dependent on Pakistan for its Afghan strategy. The present US strategy attempts to preserve the unity and integrity of Pakistan and Afghanistan, as it is today. The US is prepared to accept some costs to itself in terms of casualties to secure the best possible result. If the Pakistani army and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) continue to play games with the US as they think they can and get away with it, then the US will have to secure its national security interests at the cost of Pakistani unity and integrity. That is the message of Blackwill's article. President Obama has many options between accepting defeat and withdrawal and being compelled to accept unacceptable casualties. The Pakistan army should not repeat the blunders of 1947-48, 1965, 1971 and 1999 through its overconfidence.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
Terrorists are every where. Today's Yahoo news, "officials: 3 arrested in Norway al-qaida bomb plot. ...similar plans in New York and England".
In Kashmir India is the same story. Pakistan terrorist org. are trying to stirrup violence. Pakistan is the root cause of terrorists crimes around the world.
The Wall Street of July 8, page A-2, Subway Bomb Plot Tied to Planned U.K. Attack".
This terrorism is very dangerous and we are not able to control it.
I hope USA government is paying attention to it.
For the long term, we need a world peace foundation as presented in my book.
Please note that I have corrected and added a few things to the July 6, e-mail. You may like to go over again.
Thank you.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
I have written extensively how turbulent is our world is. How miserable our world is. Let me present a vision for all our misery.
We are lost. we are shivering because we cannot control terror, greed and corruption. These evils are destroying people, societies and nations. It has become a mad, mad world and unhappiness is all over. Rich are not happy either. If money can buy happiness, the developed world would happy. The horrible World War II & I should not have happened. We see deep recessions, fortunes being lost, unemployment is sky high, sovereign debts are out of control. Businesses, people and governments have been living beyond means to give more money to the people-an illusion or a mess we have woven around us. We cannot get out of it. We have created a vicious circle. We are unable to stop this madness. We all are in a rat race. Nations are in the rat race to create wealth. We have become obsessed with having more money not how to live in peace. The way we are going we are bound to end in Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD). Terrorism is a product of decline in human virtues. So is the nuclear rat race and WMDs to destroy each other.
This is because we are not focused on the real pillars that make peace and happiness. We have thousands of institutions of education teaching us how to make money.
We have forgotten what makes a virtuous life and ultimately creates a better human being-a happy human being- a happy society- a happy nation-a peaceful world.
Briefly, we have a world full of fear of each other and miserable lives for billions or for all.
We must do soul searching. We must find ways to build or transform our selves. In the old times, we used to say, "When wealth is lost, nothing is lost. When health is lost, some thing is lost. When Character is lost, every thing is lost". Character is the founding block for creating a better human being. Love and peace are the other pillars. We think that knowledge is power. It is not true. Character is the true power. We forget that without character building we give rise to all the evils inflicting our societies, nations and our world.
This might seem odd to our leaders of today but unless we focus on the real cause(s) of our misery, we cannot have a happy, individual, family, society, nation and ultimately our world.
We have been drifting for a very long time. We must change ourselves. We must create institutions not for knowledge to just make money but to build character too. In today's world sex and money have become the driving force. We must understand what is our duty, what is our purpose of being in this world. It is very well said by Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi, India, "One may be rich or well-educated, but all the wealth and education will be useless if one lacks virtues".
Mahatma Gandhi's name comes to my mind. He showed us the way to live. He showed us the virtues of tolerance, nonviolence and love all and hate none. India has many saints and sages emphasizing how to live a better life-a virtuous life.
Time has come to follow the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. Many leaders have acknowledged this but no action so far. We need a world peace foundation.
Please read my book.
Thank you.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
An article in The Economist magazine of July 3-July 9, 2010, page 42, "Pakistan's role in Afghanistan. Ganging up on India. Rumors fly as Karzai talks to Pakistan". Briefly, it states, "Pakistan has made clear that it wants India out of Pakistan....But, in the light of Mr. Kazai's serial snubs to his American paymasters, some worry he might be preparing to ditch them for the sake of a deal with Islamabad...already the Northern alliance, the main anti Taliban force in the country is alarmed..... Even the those Western diplomats who are keenest on early talks with Taliban balk at giving Pakistan all it wants".
This is very small article says it all. Please read it. Pakistan will go to any length to have virtual control of Afghanistan and has no interest in really fighting the Taliban-Al qaeda and other terrorists organization on its soil and in Afghanistan. USA and India will be out if we continue to fall into the trap. It will be a disaster. It will be the defeat of free world. It will be a defeat or surrender of our values- an acceptance of terrorists horrible or draconian ways for us to be under. I hope not.
Some are saying that this war is not winnable. I feel sad that USA and our allies are thinking to fold and leave Afghanistan-Pakistan region. It seems we have lost our courage even though this terrorists threat is very grave and if not defeated we all in USA, Europe or the world will be in horrible war with the ideology driven terrorists around the globe.
If there was no George Washington to fight the British, we will not have USA. If we had no Abraham Lincoln, we will not USA. If we had not fought during World War II, Europe and USA would be slave of Hitler, Stalin and Japan. Are we now so coward that we cannot defend our values, our freedom, our liberty and what not?
Yes, it is difficult war against the terrorist. We have made many mistakes or blunders. We must not repeat it. We must act with clear conscience. It not the time to listen to the public mood. What Sir Winston Churchill did during World War II, we need it now. He inspired the British people with his great oratory. Abraham Lincoln did the same. So was George Washington. It is our time of history in the making. Let us not shirk from our responsibility.
It is about time for our honorable President Barack Obama and Congress to rise to the occasion, let us not turn our back from defending for our values. There is no need to write more as I have said it in detail previously in my several e-mails as part of this e-mail and other e-mails.
We need to remember, "Life begins and life ends. This is the ultimate truth of life. Only the good deeds count".
Thank you.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
It is very disturbing that no one is safe in Pakistan. The Thursday's attack my the Islamic hard-line militants attacked Data Gunj Bakhsh complex-a shrine to 11th century Persian Sufi saint- a moderate version of Islam in the second largest city of Lahore-a political, military and cultural hub. The blame is being placed on Punjabi Taliban.
The Wall Street Journal news paper of July 2, page A-8 describes this brutal attack in the article, "Triple Suicide Bombing in Pakistan Kills 40. Attack during late night Prayers Targets Shrine of Majority Sufis; Officials See Backlash Among Moderate Muslims".
Minorities in Pakistan are not safe- Ahmadis a minority has faced regularly discrimination. In May 28 in Lahore, gunmen and suicide squad targeted two Ahmadi mosques and massacred at least 93 people.
It is beyond any doubt that Pakistan is the one that has become a safe haven for the Islamic extremists. ISI, government and extremist groups work in tandem-support each other.
Can we imagine what will happen to us and our world when the nuclear Pakistan of over 140 million Muslim Majority country gets in the hands of extremists? If that happens which is very likely, the extremists would be free to terrorize and inflict harm to the world. They will be the conquerors and we would not be able to counter the insurgency around the world. Then it will be too late to defeat the terrorists might. We must stop it now.
Pakistan can curse USA or India or any other country but this is nothing but a cover up of their long term intentions to spread extremists version of Islam and destroy the democratic world. Make no mistake; it could happen if we do not rise to the occasion.
We must focus on Pakistan if we want to defeat terrorism. It was the blunder to create Pakistan in 1948. Second mistake is that we call and support Pakistan militarily and financially and now the third mistake or blunder is we are not waking up.
I appeal to our President and Congress to do the right thing. We must muster the courage to face this threat of historic proportions. History will not excuse us if we still do not act.
I also appeal to USA, Europe and other countries to support India. Because India of one billion people, home to over 160 million Muslims, multitudes of diversity, largest democracy in the world and land of Mahatma Gandhi is the gateway to world peace. The core values of India are best suited for achieving world peace.
Political leaders other organizations and media have the moral responsibility to seriously look for ways how we the people can live in peace and achieve prosperity. Our current approach is not working.
If we fail to envision the calamity in the making, we are surely moving towards Mutually assured Destruction (MAD).
We must remember that the ultimate truth of life is, "Life begins and life ends. The good deeds that count and make our lives worthwhile. Nothing else".

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
Here is another good article of LA Times dated July 1, page A-23, written by John B. Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to U.N. and is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and the author of "Surrender is Not an option". It states that we need a sustained military presence and withdrawal is not an option. USA and NATO allies are lining up to withdraw. It will surrender not a prudent withdrawal. USA public must understand that this is not an ordinary war, it affects our freedom and way of life and democratic world. This is war of attrition not like World War II but the consequences of our defeat are much greater than World War II. It is not just humiliation like Vietnam war but a total surrender of our values and living under the barbaric system. It will completely change the world of freedom, democracy and replace it with horrible living on earth.
Essentially it reinforces what I have been saying all along and with much deeper sense and understanding of the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Nuclear Talabinized Pakistan is a much greater threat to the world than we accept it. We are surely on war with the terrorists originated from Pakistan and spread around the world. They are making trouble in Kashmir and Afghanistan and around the world.
If we pull out, we surely are coward and we failed to defend our way of life-life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. I would say happiness without contentment is an illusion and it leads to greed and corruption. We are never happy without contentment. One desire leads to another another desire of greater magnitude.
Briefly, the long term solution to our world in turmoil is to embrace the following and soon:
1. We need to establish world peace foundation of sufficient size and scope. My book offers the ideas for the composition of such a world peace foundation.
2. India of one billion people, home to over 160 million Muslims, multitudes of diversity and land of Mahatma Gandhi is the gateway to world peace. The core values of India are best suited for achieving world peace.
3.Political leaders other organizations and media have the moral responsibility to seriously look for ways how we the people can live in peace and achieve prosperity. Our current approach is not working.
4. If we fail to envision the calamity in the making, we are surely moving towards Mutually assured Destruction (MAD).
5. We must remember that the ultimate truth of life is, "Life begins and life ends. The good deeds that count and make our lives worthwhile. Nothing else".

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
The Afghan-Pakistan situation is extremely explosive. If we get out of Afgh-Pak area, definitely Taliban along with Pakistan will have the victory. The Taliban and Afghan government power sharing being talked about is a very shrewd move on the part of Pakistan. Pakistan and Taliban/Al Qaeda and other extremists organization are one and the same thing.
Pakistan is trying through Taliban and Afghan government power sharing. Once it happens Pakistan will have the control of Afghanistan. Once we pull out of the area in 2011 as planned, we have lost. It will be a surrender and a humiliating defeat for USA, UN and Europe. The consequence of this will be we will have Talibanized Afghanistan and nuclear Pakistan. It will be a grave mistake to pull out of the area. Please note this terrorism is ideology driven and extremists want to conquer the world. Terrorism has become global It is true that India being next door neighbor would pay heavy price but USA and Europe will eventually pay the price and in a big way. It will be the most difficult of all the wars we fought in the past and won. This war we will not win. We will have no option but to surrender to barbarism. Certainly we do not want this to happen. A common person or an average person knows this.
I appeal to the USA President and Congress, please do not fall into this trap. Do not set any deadline. We need to work with India to counter and eradicate terrorism. Do not fall into the trap. Just remember, "India is the gateway to world peace".
There is very good article in LA Times of June 30, page A-19, "The Taliban effect". It states, " Pakistan authorities have reacted angrily to a study released this month by the London School of Economics which concludes that Pakistan's Inter-services Intelligence has been systematically funding and maintaining top-level ties with the Taliban and on larger scale than generally believed....Not only did the Taliban's victory owe itself to the ISI and the Pakistani military....But Pakistan also wants to hedge its bets lest the campaign of the United States and its allies fails and the Afghan Government of President Hamid Karzai is forced to make peace and even accept a power-sharing deal with the Taliban. Should this happen, Pakistan is determined to play a pivotal role...Pakistan sees the odds of U.S. success in Afghanistan diminishing and is willing to deal with re-fortified Taliban".
Who would disagree with the article? Even a common man or average person would easily draw such a conclusion that our withdrawal would be death to the democratic world.
Yes, there are forces telling us to withdraw but the future of USA and the entire democratic world is at stake. Yes, it is time of determination and sacrifice but do we have any other choice? NO. It is do or die situation. We are back to Normandy like situation again. It is worst than world war II. It fight for survival-our ideals, our freedom and liberty.
Our military Generals should not be hand cuffed by putting unrealistic demands on them.
Media has the moral responsibility to stand for the principles and our ideas and stay away from short cuts. Just remember George Washington and Abraham Lincoln who made great sacrifices and gave us U.S.A. This is no different time. Please rise to the occasion and defend our freedom and save the world from becoming Talbinized.
Thank you.

As quoted in online Times of India of today, "Ahead of the G20 meeting, Obama told reporters: "Whenever the Indian Prime Minister speaks, the whole world listens to him."
It is a great news. I hope that US administration will support India, the world's greatest democracy of over one billion people of multitudes of diversity. It is miracle in itself or a unique wonder of the world.
I again repeat that India is the gateway to world peace. There is truth in this statement.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
The recent events-the change in chain of command of Afghanistan and Pakistan military operations, the resignation of General McChrystal and making Gen. David Petraeus in-charge of the operations-has been a sensational news around the world. This change or no change in command is the real question. The real question we need to ask, "can we win this 9-year old war". It is almost impossible. There is much greater possibility that we would retreat and this would be a disaster or a humiliating defeat, not only for USA and Europe but for Afghanistan, India and Southeast Asia. Terrorists would declare victory and become more assertive around the world.
The defeat of Vietnam war is nothing when we compare this humiliating defeat. Vietnam war was primarily a Vietnam war-Vietnamese are not ideology driven terrorists. Whereas, this war against terrorism is extremists ideology driven and has become global threat.
From the very beginning, Pakistan has been a major incubator and haven for the extremists ideology driven country. ISI and terrorists groups and support from the Pakistan government has been known to us for decades. Our 70% or more problem has been Pakistan but we continue to ignore it and on the other hand we are supporting Pakistan militarily and financially. Then we expect to defeat the terrorists and stabilize Afghanistan. How can this work? This will not work. I think we know this but why we have followed misguided foreign policies in regards Pakistan is a mystery. May we have abandoned our Founding Fathers dictums, ideals and their sacrifices.
Now, we are much weaker. We do not have the money. We are broke. Our allies are tightening their belts. There is public anger and frustration. Jobs, Pensions, salaries are on the line. Businesses are crying. It is poor world of USA and the developed nations.
This financial crises is our making-living beyond means-people, businesses and governments. Greed and corruption have blinded us. Unions, people on entitlement programs, businesses are exerting to get the most. A stealth war of financial benefits is going on. Where it will end and how it will end, only God knows. Political leaders do not have the will to be like Abraham Lincoln or George Washington. So the picture is gloomy. And therefore it is most likely that terrorists will gain access to nucllear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction and we would not be able to stop it. It can be safely inferred that we are in the middle of military doctrine of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD).
I would like to quote a few news articles hoping that world leaders would pay attention to what I can offer towards achieving world peace.
1. The Economist magazine of June 26, the front page caption is, "Losing Afghanistan-The war after McChrystal. In this magazine,on page 13, After McChrystal:...In june Afghanistan surpassed Vietnam to become, by some measures, the longest campaign in America's history. More than 1,000 of its men and women have been killed and almost 6,000 injured. Yet, Taliban are rampant, assassinating tribal leaders and intimidating their people....Too few Afghans and Pakistanis have thrown their lot with the west, because too many think America has no stomach for the fight....a defeat their would be a disaster.. the unruly northern Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia, would become impossible to change. A Western withdrawal would leave Afghanistan vulnerable to a civil war that might suck in the local powers, including Iran, Pakistan, India and Russia. Sooner or later, the poison would end up harming America too.: it always does. defeat in Afghanistan would mark humiliation for the West, and for NATO, that would give succor to its toes in the world...he Afghan war may yet end in an ignominious retreat. But nobody should welcome such an outcome".
2. Another article in The Economist magazine of June 26 and on page 29, " Briefing Afghanistan-More than a one-man problem". It is about McChrystal and what happened in his removal and resignation....(Afghanistan) is losing cause. In the last paragraph of this article, "The situation is grim..NATO countries, perhaps including a reluctant America, are increasingly concluding that there will have to be a negotiated end to the war. But the Taliban are in no rush to talk. Their position is strong. perhaps, the best can be hoped for NATO's current operations is to weaken the militants sufficiently to bring them to the table. That near-impossible task now falls to the impressive, persistent but human General Petraeus".
3. June 26, LA Times front page article, "Officials in Iraq cite U.S. neglect. With Afghanistan on the front burner, policy on the other war is focused only on withdrawal, they say. President Obama's decision to shift the U.S. military chief for the middle East Gen. David H. Petraeus, to focus exclusively on Afghanistan highlights what politicians, analysts and some U.S. military officers here say is serious drift in policy towards Iraq.... They believe the embassy's single-mindedness has often left the United States veering from crises to crises here". On page A-9, it continues with the caption, 'Iraqi Officials say U.S. policy in Baghdad has lost its focus".
3. The Economist June 26, page 15, "Pakistan, India and the anti-nuclear rules. Clouds of hypocrisy. An offer to supply Pakistan with nuclear reactors shows China at worst". Last paragraph, "Find courage and conviction. A second wrong shrugging the China Pakistan one through, on the basis of some sort of big-power tit-for-tat-will only double the damage. Before China joined the NPT and the NSG its proliferation record was execrable. It helped Pakistan make uranium and plutonium. It handed over the design of one of its own nuclear warheads, which Pakistan later passed on to Libya and possibly Iran. China hates talks of its irresponsible past. It will resent being told it is breaking NSG rules. But other 45 countries in the group should find the courage of their anti-proliferation convictions and call China to account. Like others in this history saga China richly deserves embarrassment".
4. India Journal Business section of June 25, front page article, "Dual Technology Denial to Harm Indo-US Ties: FICCI. Says FICCI President Rajan Bharti Mittal. This is very strange that U.S.A. still is hesitant to consider India a true friend of U.S.A. Let me say or repeat it, "India is the Gateway to World Peace". No one should doubt it not even India. World perhaps talks highly about Mahatma Gandhi but cannot think of how to embrace and implement his teachings. U.S.A must not be hesitant in fulfilling the needs of India.
This is very sad and unfortunate. When the world is drowning under huge debt and terrorists and nuclear threat are real-human race is threatened- or we are in the early stages of MAD (Mutually Assured destruction).
Please pay attention to what I can offer. Briefly, we need a world peace foundation of sufficient size and scope to bring sanity to the mad, mad world ready to destroy each other. Media has the moral responsibility to bring the truth before the people.
Thank you.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
The following Yahoo news needs no further comments, it is crystal clear. Our losses in Afghanistan-Pakistan are practically not going to bring the desired results due to our misguided policies. We must explore other ways so that it does not provoke a clash of civilizations. If that happens, God forbid, we are responsible and we lose big.
I appeal to the USA leadership to think outside the box. My ideas are worth trying. We need a world peace foundation based on ideas presented in my book.

Yahoo News:Al-Qaida warns of new attacks deadlier than before
By PAUL SCHEMM, Associated Press Writer Paul Schemm, Associated Press Writer 2 hrs 59 mins ago
CAIRO – Al-Qaida's U.S.-born spokesman warned President Barack Obama Sunday that the militant group may launch new attacks that would kill more Americans than previous ones.
In a taunting, 24 minute message that dwelled on Obama's setbacks, including the loss of Massachusetts Senate seat to the Republicans, Adam Gadahn set out al-Qaida's conditions for peace with the U.S., including cutting support for Israel and withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan.
Gadahn said that if you compared the number of dead Muslims "with the relatively small number of Americans we have killed so far, it becomes crystal-clear that we haven't even begun to even the score," he said, dressed in a white robe and turban.
"That's why next time, we might not show the restraint and self-control we have shown up until now," he said. Even if al-Qaida was defeated, "hundreds of millions of Muslims" would still fight the U.S., he added.
Al-Qaida offered the same conditions for an end to hostilities to then President George W. Bush in 2007, including the release of all Muslim prisoners and cutting off aid to Middle East governments.
Gadahn's statement was notable for its mocking tone, in which he described Obama as "a devious, evasive and serpentine American president with a Muslim name," and seemed to delight in his setbacks.
"You're no longer the popular man you once were, a year ago or so," he crowed, ascribing his drop in popularity to the escalation of the U.S. wars abroad.
At the time of Obama's election, many analysts said al-Qaida was worried that his race and Muslim family connections would make him more appealing to Muslims and Arabs angry at Bush's foreign policy.
In its statements since his election, al-Qaida has taken pains to show the continuity between Obama's foreign policy and that of his predecessor.
Gadahn is wanted by the FBI since 2004 with a $1 million reward for information leading to his arrest or conviction. He is also known as Azzam al-Amriki, Arabic for the American.

Terrorism is taking the front stage in world affairs. It is very sad that world has failed to address this menace effectively for decades. I appeal to USA and West to please take right steps to defeat this menace. So far the steps taken are not only ineffective but causing the opposite results. It is matter for serious consideration- needs a change in foreign policy.
The following are a few examples:
1.I happen to have copy on New York Times of June 12 and the front page news is, "Karzai Is Said to Doubt West Can Defeat Taliban. Former Officials Say Afgan Leader Seeks Deal With Militants and Pakistan, by Dexter Filkins. It states in this article briefly, "Two senior Afghan officials were showing President Hamid Karzai the evidence of the spectacular rocket attack on a nationwide peace conference earlie...Mr. Karzai told them that he believed the Taliban were not responsible. 'President did not show any interest in the evidence-none-he treated it like a piece of dirt,' said Amrullah Saleh, then the director of the Afghanistan intelligence srvise....But a prominent Afghan with knowledge of the meeting...said, that Mr. Karzai suggested in the meeting that it might have been the Americans who carried it out. Minutes after the exchange, Mr. Saleh and the interior minister, Hanif Atmar, resigned-the most dramatic defection from Karzai government...Mr. Karzai had lost faith in the American and NATO to prevail in Afghanistan..." Article goes on..2. The Yahoo news of June of June 13 is as follows:
Report: Pakistani spy agency supports Taliban
By SEBASTIAN ABBOT, Associated Press Writer Sebastian Abbot, Associated Press Writer 25 mins ago
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan's main spy agency continues to arm and train the Taliban and is even represented on the group's leadership council despite U.S. pressure to sever ties and billions in aid to combat the militants, said a research report released Sunday.
The findings could heighten tension between the two countries and raise further questions about U.S. success in Afghanistan since Pakistani cooperation is seen as key to defeating the Taliban, which seized power in Kabul in the 1990s with Islamabad's support.
U.S. officials have suggested in the past that current or former members of Pakistan's powerful Inter-Services Intelligence agency, or ISI, have maintained links to the Taliban despite the government's decision to denounce the group in 2001 under U.S. pressure.
But the report issued Sunday by the London School of Economics offered one of the strongest cases that assistance to the group is official ISI policy, and even extends to the highest levels of the Pakistani government.
"Pakistan's apparent involvement in a double-game of this scale could have major geopolitical implications and could even provoke U.S. countermeasures," said the report, which was based on interviews with Taliban commanders, former Taliban officials, Western diplomats and many others.
"Without a change in Pakistani behavior it will be difficult, if not impossible, for international forces and the Afghan government to make progress against the insurgency," said the report, written by Matt Waldman, a fellow at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas, spokesman for the Pakistani army, which controls ISI, rejected the report, calling it "rubbish."
"In the past, these kinds of baseless and unsubstantiated allegations have surfaced and we have rejected them," said Abbas.
He pointed out ISI has suffered many casualties fighting militants in the country.
But the Pakistan military's campaign has been focused on Pakistani Taliban battling the state, not Afghan Taliban waging war against NATO troops in Afghanistan. The army has resisted U.S. pressure to wage offensives in areas of the country the Afghan Taliban use as sanctuaries, despite billions of dollars in American military and civilian aid.
Many analysts believe Pakistan is reluctant to turn against the Afghan Taliban because the government believes the group could be a key ally in Afghanistan after NATO forces withdraw, and the best partner for countering the influence of archenemy India in the country.
"Interviews suggest that Pakistan continues to give extensive support to the insurgency in terms of funding, munitions and supplies," said the report.
In addition, "ISI continues to sanction and support military training centers for insurgents and a large number of (Islamic schools) that actively encourage their students to fight in Afghanistan," it said.
The report said Pakistani support is channeled toward both the Afghan Taliban led by Mullah Mohammad Omar, who is believed to be based in the Pakistani city of Quetta, and the Haqqani network, which is allied with the Taliban but operates fairly independently. The Haqqani network is based in the North Waziristan tribal area along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan.
Pakistan's spy agency has considerable control over both groups and even has agents on the Taliban's leadership council, which is known as the Quetta shura, said the report.
"Interviews strongly suggest that the ISI has representatives on the shura, either as participants or observers, and the agency is thus involved at the highest level of the movement," it said.
One of the most surprising allegations in the report is that Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and a senior ISI official visited some 50 high-ranking Taliban fighters this spring being held at a secret prison in the country and told them they were only arrested because of U.S. pressure.
Zardari reportedly told them they would be released and that Pakistan would help support their operations, according to a Taliban member who was one of about a dozen insurgents set free just three days after the president's visit. Zardari's spokesman was not immediately available Sunday to respond to that claim. "It is hard to see how the international coalition can continue to treat Pakistan as an ally and 'effective partner,'" said the report. "However, an aggressive American response to Pakistan's conduct is only likely to generate further instability, especially given the army's ongoing battle against Pakistani militant groups and widespread anti-American sentiment among the population." __________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The above two pieces of news should convince USA and West that our policies are misguided and are creating more harm
and lasting negative results-it could lead to clash of civilizations. Or can be safely concluded there is an urgent need for a different foreign policy. Our dependence on Pakistan is not going to produce the desired results.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
Yesterday I briefly stated that a suicide bomber kills in wedding party. There are more details described in LA Times of June 11 on page A-3, article "Afghan suicide bomber just a boy". It states, "The wedding attack was the deadliest by militants since Karzai's peace conference. The boy dressed in white and thought to be no older than 13, appeared amid the ...wedding party--walked up to within 15 feet cluster of tables where everyone was eating--prepared to detonate his suicide bomb vest, the gathering flews into panic...But there was no time... The boy's suicide vest packed with explosives detonated, killing more than 40 people and wounding at least 80...".
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
What a terrible thing that a 13-years young boy can be brainwashed to become a suicide bomber!!!! How it can happen? But it is happening. One cannot trust even children. This menace has become so deep rooted that it is becoming a powerful force. No force/might in my opinion can change the behavior to prevent a person becoming a terrorist who are behind brainwashing innocent children and adults. Terrorists are now in all of Pakistan, Afghanistan and becoming more brutal force.
If Britain pulls out from Afghanistan, we would not be able to be effective in this Afghan-Pak area. We need to think about it very hard.
My only question is, "How it happened". There was practically no terrorism before the partition of India. In fact I came from Pakistan (Kahror Pakka, District Multan) to India after the partition. 70% or more , the population of Kahror Pakka was Muslim. There was complete harmony between Hindus and Muslims. This was for the most part true forall of India before partition.
I ask this question again and again because we are responsible to great extent. First British divided India of over one billion people is a home to 160 Muslims-a home. Now our good intentioned but wrong policies of decades have given rise to terrorism-global terrorism. India being next door neighbor is doing well in spite of terrorists of Pakistan and ISI's attempts, India is model for the world.
We have now genie is out of the bottle. The monster is out. This clash, yes this clash if not handled differently, I am afraid, it can become a clash of civilization. USA and West needs to pay attention to my writings.
India is our true friend to address this menace. Media needs to help USA and West in strengthening the relationship between USA, West and India.
Please do not depend on Pakistan to help us.
In the long term, we need a world peace foundation based on my book. I say this again and again so that a serious search for peace becomes a top priority for USA and West. Without India becoming a true partner, we cannot achieve peace in the region and throughout the world.
If there was a solution, we will not be in this terrible shape today-almost we are losing our resolve to defeat this menace. More than a decade has gone by yet there is no end to it in sight. In fact mistrust is deepening. Fighting goes on and on. We can succeed, if there is true thirst for a solution.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
We all know that terrorism draws attention worldwide. It is a terrible force to destroy us -our ideals but we are not having much success or losing this battle. We need to find the reason for this terrible menace that is getting out of control. Who knows someday these terrorists would gain access to nuclear bomb(s) or a crude bomb that would cause a massive devastation. This is a real danger no one should take it lightly.
How this terrorists menace started is no wonder. There was practically no such menace before the partition of India. The creation of Pakistan became a fertile ground for opening hard-line madrasas and training of terrorists. This all was happening in full knowledge of USA and Europe. Made Pakistan NATO ally and continue to pour billions of dollars and arming of Pakistan even today. It can be safely said that we-USA and Europe have not acted responsibly. We are fearful, we know that it is very dangerous if we do not control this menace. It has become home-grown. These terrorists are among us, around us and all over. It has become a global threat to peace and prosperity.
Here are a few recent examples of barbarism of the terrorists:
1. Times of India news of June 10 on the internet: Headline, "ISI guided Let at every step for 26/11". It states that, "New Delhi: Pakistani-American terrorists David Headley has confirmed that Laskar-e-Taiba terrorists carried out the Mumbai attack under the "guidance" of Pakistani ISI. Headley, who is being interrogated in the US by a team of NIA officials, has said that notorious ISI was engaged with the Lashkar commandars responsible for the 26/11 carnage at "each and every stage of the plot".
2. BBC news on internet of June 9, "Gunmen kill seven in attack on Nato convoy in Pakistan..near Pakistani capital Islamabad.."
3. Yahoo news of June 10, "Suicide bomber kills dozens at Afghan wedding party".
4. I recommend please read, "The Economist" article, "The Punjab Taliban Into the heartland-extremists are growing stronger in settled areas of Pakistan" on page 50 of June 5 issue. In briefly it states, "...44% of Pakistan's madrassas-Islamic seminaries-are based in south Punjab and that groups like Sipha-e-Ssahaba and Jaish-e-Mohammed are 'part of Taliban and Al -Qaeda'....Pakistan can no longer afford to limit its fight against extremists to the north-west. They are embedded in Punjab and links between them and groups in the tribal area are erasing the distinction between militant groups the state is willing to tolerate and those which it is fighting".
I am afraid if terrorism is not defeated, it could become a clash of civilizations. Terrorism is spreading. USA is threatened by the terrorists and so is India and Europe. Recently again two New Jersey men- Mohammed Mahmood Alessa of 20 years and Carlos Eduardo Almonte were arrested allegedly planning to wage violent jihad. They are not from Pakistan descent but the entire terrorism primarily originated from Pakistan. The ideology of extremism is spreading. This is the stark reality.
USA needs to become realistic that by supporting Pakistan, terrorism is not going to end. Afghanistan cannot become peaceful until Pakistan stops producing terrorists and hate ideology.
I appeal to all the political leaders and world governments to do some thing right. There are many other challenges world is facing including broken economic world order, nuclear threat, population explosion and much more.
For a long term solution, I strongly recommend the creation of world peace foundation based upon my book. My book provides a peace plan that is original and practical.
Thank you.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
Many times I think to take a pause but I the news I come across compels me to share it with you.
1. In LA Times of May 28, front page article of Bob Drogin, " Pre-detecting terrorists. Could the blink of an eye or the curl of a lip give away evil intent? Government scientists are trying hard to find out. It states, "Burns and his team of scientists are researching whether video game boards, biometric sensors and other high-tech devices can be used to detect distinct non-verbal cues from people who harbor "mal-intent", or malicious intent. "We are looking to prevent", said Burns, the No. 2 at the Homeland Security Advanced Research Project Agency, a counterpart of the fabled Pentagon agency that developed Stealth aircraft and the internet.
"We are trying to detect a crime before it has occurred". It has a cost of $20 million.
This is well and good and wish success in the intended purpose. Now take a look at the Yahoo news of today by Babar Dogar, Associated Press writer, "Attackers strike sect mosques in Pakistan; 70 dead". "Lahore, Pakistan-Suspected Islamists militants attacked two mosques packed with hundreds of worshippers from a minority sect in eastern Pakistan on Friday, holding hostages and battling police, officials and witnesses said"...."The attacks in Lahore against the Ahmedi Community illustrate the threat minority religious groups face in Pakistan, a Muslim Majority nation..."
This is a very disturbing and dangerous trend. The research on pre-detecting terrorists may have success but the real issue is how to stop people becoming terrorists, suicide bombers and inflicting horrible acts on innocent people. Now it has become a global challenge. First of all we need to say to ourselves, "how we got to this horrible stage?". Next can the governments with all their might and resources make the people of terrorists ideology change their mind and become a civilized people? Next have we succeeded thus far? The answer is emphatically NO and NO. It can be safely said that we are not winning but losing this battle or we are seemingly creating more terrorists around the world. I think a sane minded politician or a leader would agree with me.
It is not the function of government or U.N. to engage in behavioral change. Practically there was no ideology of extremism a decades ago. How we can make this change is the obvious question. The only way it can happen, if establish a world peace foundation of sufficient size and scope. Please read my book. I am available. World has no other option. We keep on talking for a New World Order but no one has come up a realistic plan. I appeal to all to read my book.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
Not a single day goes by when there is no news on terrorism. USA is trying and has been trying to provide national security and defeat terrorism. It has not worked and it seems that there is no hope the way we are tackling the terrorism menace.
I quote articles from LA Times and The Wall Street Journal of today i.e. May 27, 2010.
1. LA Times, page A-1, by Ken Dilanian (Reporting from Washington): Article "Fightting threats from within. Home grown terrorists plots spur a search for a strategy, but how does the government battle an ideology? After more than a dozen homegrown terrorists plots involving American Muslims since President Obama took office, the administration is moving to step up its scattershot efforts to counter domestic radicalism. promoting a debated over the proper role of government in addressing ideological threats....".
2. The Wall Street Journal, page A-4, by Keith Johnson: Article, "Plot Highlights New Terror Worry. Whit House counterterrorism chief John Brennan said, the U.S. is 'facing a new phase of the terror threat', in which home-grown are increasingly plotting attacks inside the U.S." He said this in advance of the of the Obama administration's new national-security strategy document, to be unveiled Thursday...The document explicitly recognizes the threat to the United States posed by individuals radicalized here at home". ...It states that Mr. Hosam Smadi who tried to blowup the Dallas building, wrote in Arabic to an undercover FBI agent, "Brother, by God, we shall attack them in a manner that hurts, an attack that shakes the world".
This has been a saga of horror for decades. Why it is happening? This is the crux of the issue. There was no such thing a few decades ago. It was the same Islam and Muslims were not radicalized. Now it has become a very potent threat to not only U.S.A. but it is a global threat.
Briefly, all the radicalization and extremism primarily grew in Pakistan with our full knowledge but we thought it is only a danger to India or elsewhere but to USA or Europe. Now it has become a monster-a strong force of ideology or current of extremists ideology is worldwide.
I have extensive understanding of this menace. I can confidently say that USA< Europe or India or Russia and any other country would succeed the way we are trying to address this menace.
There is way to achieve peace. I urge you to read my book. I am available.
Thank you all.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
There are a few very interesting articles, I would like to share with you:
1. India Journal, a weekly news paper from Los Angeles of May 21, page A-30, article, "New British PM Wants 'Special Relationship' With India". The newly elected Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron further states that he will support New Delhi's bid for a permanent seat in the United Nations- the world's largest democracy.
2. In the same India Journal news paper, page A-20, article, "Obama's approach to India Ruining Close Bush-Era Ties: Analyst"-Arthur Herman. He is historian and the author of the best seller, "How the Scots and his most recent book is, "Gandhi and Churchill". The US administration's slow response to the request for questioning David Headley, and its proximity to Pakistan in the war on terror are steadily driving a wedge in the strong relations cultivated during the Bush era... He describes, Cozy relationship shared by by the US and Pakistan" as the area of rift in Indo-US relations....The author warns that the US should not make the "mistake" of scorning India...repeating the mistake will now hurt us and our ability to make our voice heard in that vital hemisphere". ...Obama's arming of Pakistan could lead to it lording it over other nations in the region, which could lead to more terror attacks".
3. LA Times, May 26, Page A-1, article by Christi Parsons and David S. Cloud (reporting from Wahington), "After N.Y. bomb plot, an urgent trip by U.S. Officials presented their evidence to Pakistan, warning against a 'next time'. ...The warning was delivered last week in visit to Islamabad, the Pakistani capital, by White House National Security Advisor James L. Jones and CIA Director Leon E. Panetta.
4. Same LA Times newspaper, page A-4, article, "Pakistani ruling backs alleged mastermind of Mumbai attacks", by Alex Rodriguez (reported from Islamabad). Pakistan's high court ruled yesterday that authorities did not have enough evidence foe arrest a firebrand Islamic cleric (Hafiz Saeed founder of Lashkar-e-Taliba) suspected of masterminding the deadly attacks on the Indian city of Mumbai. The ruling is likely to anger India's government...."
5. Yahoo news of May 26, "Clinton: World must act on South Korean ship sinking (by North Korea".
From the above referenced article, it seema that US is lost. USA has forgotten the ideals of of our Founding Fathers and ideals. We support Pakistan- a country that is an epicenter of incubation of terrorists and spreading fanatic ideology and sending suicide bombers accross the globe. It seems USA is not interested in good values and human values inorder to promote world peace. We are what? I do not know.
I appeal to our President Barack Obama, please side with the right- India is our true friend and good for achieving world. When Pakistani terrorists hurt us, we want stern action from Pakistan but when it comes to India, we act differently.
God give wisdom and courage to USA government to see the truth and stand for our values.
If we want world peace, please read my book.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
Every day I say to myself that I have written enough and would take a pause or rest. But the happening of events is so fast that I again come back and feel compelled to write.
I just received the Newsweek of May 12 and when read the articles of great importance, I wanted to share with you hoping that the political leadership will muster the will to do the right thing. I appeal to the political leaders, unions and business community to think about the future of our children, future generations. Being self-centered or me first may be O.K. but not in these critical times. Our present and future is at stake. If we do not listen to our conscience, our beautiful country and the world would suffer beyond our imagination.
So please listen to your conscience.
I quote a few articles from the Newsweek magazine. I highly recommend that you grab a copy of it to read the articles yourself briefly states, " 1. Page 14: Terrorism's Supermarket-Why Pakistan keeps exporting jihad by famous Fareed Zakaria of CNN. The british government has estimated that 70% of the terrorists plots it has uncovered in the past decade can be traced back to to Pakistan". It states that military and government is involve..."the generals have refused to go to the North, despite repeated entreaties from the United States and NATO.... This article further states, " Until the Pakistani Military truly take on a more holistic view of the country's national interests-one that sees economic development, not strategic gamesmanship against Afghanistan and India, as the key to Pakistan's security-terrorists will continue to find Pakistan an ideal place to go shopping.

This is crystal clear that Pakistan has gone too far. It is terrorists breeding and exporting ground. Now it is spreading. Our nation is very much insecure. Our world is insecure. We can continue to take preventive measures but nothing will change the equation-the terrorism emanating from Pakistan. USA and Europe must work with India to tackle this menace. It is in our own interest. It is in the interest of world peace.
2. Article on page 19:" Depression 2010?-Greece is reving the D word. by Robert J. Samuelson : In these days after the $945 billion rescue package was agreed by EU and IMF and USA, a lot has been written in news papers like LA Times, The Wall Street journal and all over. Many experts are saying that it is just the postpone of financial day of reckoning. USA is not behind. Many say, this rescue plan will not work. It is just a temporary measure. It not just the PIIGS (Portugal, Iceland, Italy, Greece and Spain) Iceland countries but they include in USA and call it PIG IS US ( Yahoo Finance news of May 10).
Please read the Newsweek article. It is very appealing. Debt cannot erase debt.
We are and Europe is today in dire shape. Both are at the crossroads. If we take the right decision and bring austerity and listen to the lobbyists and must gather the political will to get out of this draconian mess.
There is another article on page 22, "Trickle-down Misery in L.A. according to former Mayor Richard Riordan, Los Angeles city is broke. The Wall street Journal columnist Alexander Rubalcava calls fiscal crises, "terminal". Please read this article. The present Mayor Villaraigosa is caught between the rock and the hard spot- because of the unions. He added 5000 employees and made union contacts very generous, etc.
This should be enough for all the political leaders not to bow to the special interests. They should rise to the occasion. These are not ordinary times. Party is over. Now the real work has begun.

I again impress that there is a critical need to establish a world peace foundation of sufficient size and scope to make a cultural change based on ideas presented in my book.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
I have written on the monster terrorism created by Pakistan. I think we need to look at in perspective that we are not favored in the Muslim world depite unprecented outreach to the Muslim world.
1. Take the case of Turkey our NATO ally. It is more and more turning away from secularism to Islamic fundamentalism. Please read the Wall Street article in today's paper i.e. May 11, page A-19, "What is happening to Turkey. In it, it states that only 14% are favorable to USA. And gone are the days when Turkey was a strategic partnership with Israel now is Syria.
It only proves that we do not have in-depth understanding of the complex Muslim world and complexities our world poses. This Turkey's change is now another big challenge.
2. It is stated in LA Times of May 11 on page A-1, "Scores are killed in Iraqi violence. At least 92 die and 200 are wounded in a series of shootings and bombings from Mosul to Baghdad to Basra.
This shows we went in Iraq to spread democracy but we still are not there. It is likely that Iraq would not become a peaceful country. Again, we are the loser.
We may have the good intentions but our actions are not brining the desired results. It can be safely said that our policies are misguided and our experimentation is not only depleting our resources when we are the biggest debtor nation, we are sacrificing the lives of our brave soldiers and getting no where.
We are not going to defeat terrorism and win the hearts of the Muslim world. The results of our actions are before us.
It seems that knowingly or unknowingly we are contributing to the turmoil in the world. One day it is going to roost us. Already we feel threatened and insecure from the terrorists attacks. After 9/11 we have been lucky to some extent but one day we not be that lucky. God forbid that something very dangerous and horrible attack by the Islamic terrorists becomes a reality.
We need India. India is our true friend. There are times that USA presidents have not taken this seriously but now it is in our own interest and in the interest of world peace that we strengthen our bond with India.
I have extensive understanding of the challenges our world is facing. It is my firm belief that we need a world peace foundation based on the ideas presented in my book.
We must revisit our Founding Fathers ideals and accomplishments; we going through very difficult times of history. We are faced with again severe and grave multitude of challenges. If we shirk from our moral duty, we are plunging ourselves to disaster and world into turmoil of serious repercussions.
We need a new world order. It has been wished by many great world leaders. But it is now time to act.
God bless America and save the world from our faulty actions. God give our leaders the wisdom to do the right thing.
Thank you.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
The terrible saga of terrorism is unending. There is need for USA and Europe to wake and take concrete steps without any more talk and discussions. There is enough evidence that the terrorists primarily originated from Pakistan have become a true threat not only to our national security but it has become a real danger for world peace. If we just continue what we are doing I am afraid we would lose and terrorists would win. Our sacrifices and billions of dollars being given to Pakistan would do no good but do more harm.
The following are the recent article for your kind consideration:
1. LA Times of May 10, page A-1: Militants believed behind N.Y. Bomb. Pakistani group with Al qaeda ties trained and bankrolled the suspect, "We have now developed evidence that shows that the Pakistani Taliban was behind the attack," Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr. said on ABC's This week.....The assertion was repeated by senior White House Counter-terrorism advisor John Brennan.
2. The Wall Street Journal of May 10, page A-1: U.S. names Pakistan Taliban in Attack on Times Square. "The Obama administration Sunday blamed the Pakistani Taliban for directing the attempted Times Square bombing-providing the firmest accusations yet by U.S. officials and potentially complicating relations with a key ally."
3. The Wall Street Journal, Opinion Section, page A-17: Islam's Nowhere Men by Faud Ajami, Professor at John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Senior fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution, author of "The Foreign's Gift (Free Press, 2007). This is a very well written article. It is worth reading.
Briefly it states, "A Muslim has no nationality except his belief, the intellectual godfather of the Islamists, Egyption SAyyid Qutb, wrote decades ago. Qutb's "children" are everywhere now; they carry the nationalities of foreign lands and plot against them...The Pakistani born Faisal Shazad is a devotee of Sayyid Qutb's doctrine, and Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the Fort shooter, was another.
Qutb was executed by the secular dictatorship of Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1966. Globalisation, the shaking up of the Continents, the ease of travel, and the doors for immigration flung wide open by Western liberal societies have given Qutb's worldview greater power and relevance.....
Millions like Faisal Shazad are unsettled by a modern world they can neither master nor reject.
The Islamists are now within the gates....They mock national borders and identities.....
But the world of Pakistan was recast in 1980s under a zealous and stern military leader Zia-Ul-Haq. Zia offered Pakistan Islamization and despotism. He had ridden the jihad in Afghanistan.... he brought the mullahs into political world and they, in turn brought the militants with them.
This was Pakistan in which young Faisal Shazad was formed...The maxim that Pakistan is governed by a trinity-Allah, army, America-gives away this confusion.....
This is a long twilight war, the struggle against radical Islamism. We can't conciliate these furies. These men of nowhere-Faisal Shazad, Nidal Malik Hasan the American born renegade cleric Anwar Awlaki now holed up in Yemen and their likes-are deadly breed of combatants in this new kind of war....."
4. Summary: The above must be crystal clear that Pakistan has lost creditability and trustworthiness. Experts and USA government knows this. Pakistan cannot be our key ally. It is also true that we cannot win this war the way we are doing. India is our true friend. Take look at the history of India. Watch Story of India DVD of Michael Wood. If ever peace will dawn on earth it will be based on core values of India.
We need a sea change in our approach. We need to find ways to build tolerant societies around the world. This can be done as presented in my book.
I appeal to President Obama, Congress and key players to take right action to stop nuclear Pakistan from incubating and exporting terorism to USA, Europe. India and around the world. We need a World Peace Foundation based on ideas presented in my book.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
It is all over that this time USA is serious about doing something after the failed bomb attack in the crowded Times Square in New York. I hope that USA is not just focused on Af-Pak Waziristan area infected with the terrorists and suicide bombers of Taliban and other barbaric organizations. The fact is that the nuclear proliferation by Aq Khan happened before the eyes of Pakistan government and there is a reason to believe that some within Pakistan government and ISI are not only sympathetic to the Islamic terrorist ideology but supportive to the extremists ideology.
We must look at the broader picture and deal with it accordingly. Otherwise we will not succeed rather the terrorists would take over Pakistan and the nuclear installations. It is very dangerous but a very probable scenario.
I appeal USA government and the media to remain focused on the totality and just have a piece meal approach which is bound to fail. We must look at the entire system. Let us not forget that India is suffering due to our lopsided and wrong policies. Please keep in mind India is home to over 160 million Muslims-a next door to terrorist exporting nation-Pakistan. I hope that USA would trust India and work very closely with India to get rid of this menace of terrorism.
On fical matters, it seems that we have abandoned our ideals. We are the biggest debtor nation in the world. How can we be leader of the world. We must set house our in order-a fiscally responsible nation. Yes, we are not Greece but it can happen. It is not happening or not in the near future because we can print worthless dollars and give these to our clients. One day it will become unbearable and we face the dire consequence of it- a bitter pill to swallow. I hope that we would not see violent street protests. Los Angeles city is broke (bankruptcy is being suggested), LA County is broke, California State is broke and many USA cities, counties and States are broke. These heavy debtor States, Counties and cities have to cut back severely. Possibly employees will see cut in salary and pensions, etc., etc. And rise in sales tax to very high proportions, etc is a possibility. Federal government can print dollars and can live in huge deficits but how long? Let us not forget, if USA failed to rise to the occasion, it will not only hurt USA but the entire world.
Germany is facing a very serious public opposition to the bailout of Greece. It is being said that worsening economic conditions were responsible for the rise of Hitler. Today Europe is in bad shape. We must learn a lesson. No one wants a World War III.
Message is very clear that President and Congress (DEmocrats and Republicans) must not look to get elected but think about nation-people and global responsibility.
UK elections did not give decisive victory to a party. Now there will be a coalition government. It is not a very good scenario.
Europe is also facing a severe shortages of working people. It is estimated Europe needs 50 million young people continue to grow. Japan has the same problem. These are not good signs. All these challenges along with terrorism, nuclear proliferation, global population explosion and other challenges need a united front within and globally.
Listen to your conscience. God give us one life. We need to be doing good deeds.
Thank you.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
It is stated in The Times of India of May 8, 1051 IST, "Clinton to Pak: Severe consequences in case of attack. The United States has warned of severe consequences if successful extremist attack in America were traced back to Pakistan, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Friday in an interview with CBS "60 Minutes"...."We have made very clear that if- heaven forbid-an attack like this that we can trace back to Pakistan were to have been successful, there would be very severe consequences," she said without elaborating."
I hope that USA is really serious this time. It is not only USA that is being attacked by the Pakistani or groomed terrorists, it is Europe and India. India is next door neighbor to Pakistan and home to over 160 million Muslims. Pakistan's terrorists are feverishly trying to export terrorism to India. What more proof USA and Europe needs? Again and again we become complacent or have strategy to deal this Pakistani originated terrorism. It is slowly but surely swallowing the world. We should not take it lightly. We have more than enough proof that Pakistan on its soil has created this monster and nuclear proliferation around the world. I appeal to President Obama to be serious and do some thing concrete. India is the best friend and we need to work with India and other countries.
Having said that, long range solution to terrorism and other challenges would be to create a structure for having a tolerant cultural sea change around the world. Otherwise, history tells us that we will lose because of the fact we will be first exhausted then finally succumb to the terrorists. This is what terrorists want. I hope USA and Europe can see to it.
My ideas can be the basis for the creation of a world peace foundation. Most of it is in my book.
Thank you.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
Please read the following Yahoo news. It is terrifying. USA and Europe seem to be not waking up to the reality of how terrifying is now to deal with Pakistan-the terrorists epicenter.
I have been saying this all along. India has been saying this all along. I wrote my book in 2004. A draft copy was presented to the then President of India A.P.J. Abdul Kalam when I met him in Rashtrapati Bhawan in Feb. 2003 (President House). I sent copies of my book to President Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair , EU Ambassadors and many world leaders as I had been a member of prestigious Los Angeles World Affairs Council.
We must not delay any further in taking suitable course of action. The Genie is out of the bottle to destroy all of us.
Thank you.

Beyond Times Square: The Growing Threat from Pakistan
By BOBBY GHOSH Bobby Ghosh Thu May 6, 11:10 am ET
Not long ago, a bomb attack on New York City's Times Square would have had intelligence officials and terrorism experts checking off the usual suspects among the sources of terrorist plots against the U.S. - Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq. But these days, says a top counterterrorism official, "when I hear of a terrorist plot, I can count back from 10, and before I get to zero, someone will bring up the P word."
That's P for Pakistan.
Over the past couple of years, more plots against U.S. targets have emanated from or had a strong connection to Pakistan than any other country. Says the counterterrorism official, who was briefed on the hunt for the Times Square bomber but is not authorized to speak with the media: "It was totally predictable that the smoking Pathfinder would lead to someone with Pakistan in his past." (See the making of a Mumbai terrorist.)
Nor would it come as a surprise if it were revealed that Faisal Shahzad, who has claimed to investigators that he was working alone, was in fact linked to an ever lengthening list of extremist groups operating in Pakistan's northern wilds. These groups, whose attacks had long been confined to the Indian subcontinent, are now emerging as a deadly threat to the U.S. and its allies. As the core of al-Qaeda, led by Osama bin Laden, wilts under the constant pounding from the CIA's Predator drone campaign, Pakistani groups are mounting operations deep into the West.
Such groups as Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) have not yet notched major successes against U.S. targets to match Hizballah's bombings in 1980s Lebanon or al-Qaeda's destruction of two U.S. embassies in Africa in 1998. But they have lately mounted operations of great audacity and sophistication. LeT has been operating in Europe for at least a decade, initially raising funds from the large Pakistani diaspora in countries like Britain and France and later recruiting volunteers for the jihad against Western forces. At least one of the plotters of the 2005 London subway bombings was an LeT trainee, and British investigators believe the group has been connected to other plots in the U.K. (See Mohammad Amir Ajmal Qasab's jihadist journey into India.)
The TTP, which claimed credit for Shahzad's failed bombing, was behind the suicide bombing that killed seven CIA agents in Afghanistan late last year. And in 2008, in the most spectacular attack by a Pakistani-based group on Western targets, LeT bombed and shot up a railway station, a hospital, two five-star hotels and a Jewish center in Mumbai, killing more than 160 people, including six Americans. Afterward, Indian authorities scanning a computer belonging to one of the Mumbai plotters found a list of 320 targets worldwide; only 20 were Indian. (See who made the TIME 100.)
Now, security officials fear, Pakistani jihadis are spreading their operations across the Atlantic, recruiting U.S. citizens to their cause just as Britons were recruited a decade ago. If that assessment proves accurate, the Times Square bomb plot could be the first of more to come.
An Evolving Threat What are the wellsprings of Pakistani radicalism? In the 1980s, many fervently Islamic groups were set up in Pakistan to fight the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. After the Soviet withdrawal in 1989, however, these groups and their spin-offs did not lay down their arms but instead turned their attention to Pakistan's old enemy, India. Encouraged by Pakistani civilian, military and intelligence authorities, LeT, Jaish-e-Mohammed and others refashioned themselves as freedom fighters in the cause of Kashmir, the Himalayan territory claimed by both India and Pakistan. Pakistani officials regarded the jihadis as a proxy in their conflict with India, and Islamabad provided groups like LeT with land, funding and even military training, though it was understood that they could not attack targets in Pakistan or get involved in any operations against the U.S., Pakistan's ally. Though there was some low-key cooperation between the Pakistani groups and al-Qaeda, it didn't merit much attention from Washington.
After the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, however, the Bush Administration began to look more closely into bin Laden's alliances. Washington pressured the Pakistani government of General Pervez Musharraf to crack down on LeT, Jaish and others, which by then were on the State Department's list of proscribed terrorist organizations. But the government in Islamabad allowed the groups to continue operations - in December 2001, LeT attacked the Indian Parliament in an audacious move that nearly brought the two countries to war - with only cosmetic changes to their names. LeT, for instance, merged with its charitable foundation, the Jamaat-ud-Dawah.
Gradually, the Pakistani groups began to broaden their targets beyond the Indian enemy. LeT propaganda, for instance, began to focus on links, real and imagined, between India, Israel and the U.S. By the mid-2000s, the group's leader, a former Islamic-studies professor named Hafiz Muhammed Saeed, began to call for a jihad against the West using language similar to those of the fatwas issued by bin Laden and other al-Qaeda leaders. LeT fighters began to venture out of their comfort zone, joining the fighting in Iraq.
At the same time, a new group of radicals, the TTP, had begun to emerge along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan. While LeT, Jaish and other older groups were dominated by Pakistan's majority Punjabi ethnic group, the TTP was overwhelmingly Pashtun, the dominant ethnic group in Afghanistan. And the TTP never had any qualms about challenging the Pakistani state as well as NATO troops in Afghanistan. In 2007 its leader, Baitullah Mehsud, ordered the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and attacks on military targets; he also unleashed a wave of suicide bombings in Pakistani cities. While Pakistani authorities have continued to take a somewhat tolerant view of the Punjabi groups, their attitude toward the TTP is another matter. The army began to crack down on the group in 2008, and in the summer of 2009, a CIA drone took out Baitullah Mehsud. His successor, Hakimullah Mehsud, was thought to have been killed in another drone strike in January, but he re-emerged last week to claim responsibility for the Times Square attack.
Militants in Our Midst How plausible is that? U.S. officials were initially dismissive of the TTP's claims but began to reconsider once it emerged that Shahzad had been trained in bombmaking at a camp in Waziristan, which is Mehsud's stronghold. There is no doubt that the TTP and other Pakistani groups are now recruiting among Americans. Last October, the FBI arrested a Pakistani American, David Coleman Headley, and a Pakistani Canadian associate, for plotting to attack the Copenhagen offices of a Danish newspaper that had published cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. More shockingly, the FBI said that Headley had been involved in the Mumbai attacks too (he had scoped out the hotels and the Jewish center for LeT) and was planning to bomb the U.S., British and Indian embassies in Dhaka, Bangladesh, before local authorities discovered the plot. In March, Headley pleaded guilty to all charges; he is now waiting to be sentenced.
The Headley revelations alarmed the Obama Administration's security team. In January, Daniel Benjamin, the State Department's top counterterrorism official, said in a speech to the Cato Institute in Washington that "very few things worry me as much as the strength and ambition of LeT." The next month, Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair told the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence that LeT was "becoming more of a direct threat ... placing Western targets in Europe in its sights."
The TTP is certainly doing so. In 2008, it plotted to bomb the public-transport network in Barcelona, though the operation was busted before it got much beyond the planning phase. If Shahzad was indeed acting on Mehsud's instructions, then the TTP has come closer to successfully executing a large-scale operation on American soil than any group has since Sept. 11, 2001.
Exporting Jihad It's fair to say that many analysts remain skeptical of the ability of a group like the TTP to operate outside Pakistan and Afghanistan. Mehsud lacks the kinds of networks cultivated by the Punjabi groups among Pakistanis living in the West. The TTP's fighters also tend to be poor, unsophisticated peasants from the mountains, ill equipped for foreign assignments. Besides, Mehsud and his fighters now find themselves under attack from the air (the CIA drones) as well as on the ground (the Pakistani military) and may not have the freedom to think big. They're much more likely to seek U.S. targets close at hand: in April, the TTP attacked the U.S. consulate in the Pakistani city of Peshawar.
But the TTP is working on ways to export terrorism. The group's training camps in Waziristan are a magnet for Western jihadis, including U.S. citizens. Once trained, some return home and become executors of the TTP's global ambitions. It's likely that the camps attended by both Najibullah Zazi, who confessed to planning attacks on the New York subway system last year, and Shahzad, the alleged Times Square bomber, were run by the TTP. Others will no doubt follow in their footsteps. Ashley Tellis, a South Asia expert at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, says there's no reason to doubt Mehsud's determination to mount attacks in the U.S. "His group has taken very big hits from the drone campaign," he says. "He's looking for payback. We have to watch the TTP very carefully."
LeT has the same intent but much greater capabilities. It has larger international networks and access to more sophisticated urban and educated recruits - people like Headley, who can move freely in American society. Its foreign operations tend to be better planned, often in collaboration with other groups, like al-Qaeda and Jaish.
Perhaps LeT's greatest strength is the patronage it continues to receive from the Pakistani military and intelligence services. And it enjoys genuine popularity in large parts of the country, where it offers social services that the government cannot provide. After the devastating 2005 earthquake in Pakistani-controlled Kashmir, LeT volunteers were often the first to arrive on the scene and provide valuable assistance. Like Hizballah in Lebanon, LeT and other Punjabi jihadist groups wield a combination of military and political power that makes them practically untouchable.
How can the Pakistani groups be combatted? Bruce Riedel, a counterterrorism expert at the Brookings Institution in Washington, says the Administration's best bet is to launch a "global takedown" of Pakistani jihadi cells outside Pakistan, especially in Britain, the U.S. and the Middle East. "These external bases are the most threatening to us, much more than their operations in Pakistan," he says. As British authorities - who have had more experience with this challenge than those in the U.S. - know very well, such a takedown involves long, hard work by a host of law-enforcement agencies. And while the good guys are increasing their capabilities and understanding of the threats facing them, so are the bad guys. The Times Square bomb plot didn't go as planned. But as Riedel says, "We can't rely on them to be bad bombmakers forever."

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
These days we have two hot news items. Terrists failed bomb attack in crowded Times Square, New York and Greece situations.
1. The Wall Street Journal front page article of May 6, " Crises Deepens as Chaos Grips Greece. In Athens, Greece three people got killed protesting an IMF_inspired austerity drive. It is being called tip of the iceberg. It is spreading to Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Spain and other nations. It is feared that this contagion could spread to USA.
This is the result of borrow and spend-live beyond means. It is feared California is under extremely heavy debt and has similarities to Greece worsening situation. USA is broke too but has the power to print dollars the universally accepted currency-no alternative to replace it. We enjoy this privileged status of dollar. But how long?
2. The failed bombing attempt by Pakistan born US citizen Faisal Shazad is creating a sensational news. Faisal Shahzad belongs to an elite diplomatic family as was David Headly of Mumbai carnage and others.
As I have been saying the seeds of terrorism have been sowed by western countries and USA. May be no one believes as we are a democratic nation of high principles laid by our Founding Fathers. I would like bring to your kind attention a book, "The German Connection-A Mosque in Munich by Ian Johnson, (published by Houghton Miffin Harcourt, 318 pages, $27). The Wall Street Journal of May 6 has provided a review of this book by Mathew Kaminki on page A-17. Briefly it states, [A Mosque in Munich makes clear that the West for too long misjudged militant Islam's threat and may have unwittingly facilitated the rise of a movement that, Mr. Johnson says, "creates a mental preconditioning for terrorism". The challenge for the U.S. and for Europe-now home to 20 million Muslims, four times the number in America-will be how to uproot the radical Islam while integrating recent Muslim arrivals and their children].
I will add to this that West and USA are on the wrong path. They have no solution to this monster. We in USA and Europe talk about how to prevent it by force and secure our borders. It is bound to doom. Look India has over 160 million Muslims-it is their home. The division of India was the biggest blunder of history of British Raj and now we are doing it just a bit differently. If we really want to achieve a sea cultural change, we must work with India. Also, as I have repeatedly said that there is better way. Please read my book. I am available. It is not only terrorism that were are confronting, it is financial greed and corruption, poverty and a host of other compelling challenges. If we do not pay attention to such challenges, I say, "Human race is headed towards self-destruction".
Thank you.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
News is all over that Faisal Shahzad, Pakistan- born U.S. Citizen was arrested while boarded a flight to Dubai, in connection with the failed attempted car bombing in Time Square area of New York. FBI is looking for foreign ties.
News papers like The Wall Street Journal, LA Times and Yahoo internet are having this sensational news.
President Obama said, "As Americans and as a nation, we will not be terrorized. We will not cower in fear. We will not be intimidated". I commend President Obama for him making such a wonderful statement.
But the question is, "Are we solving this menace of terrorism?" It has been going on for decades. We new that Pakistan was opening Madrasas after Madrasas and exporting terrorism to India, USA, Europe and around the world. But we let it happen before our eyes.
In The Wall Street Journal of May 4, page A-1, the article, Intrigue in Turkey's bloodless Civil War, states, "A bloodless civil war is splitting this pivotal Muslim nation on Europe's fringe, pitting the old secular establishment against the country's Islamic leaning government and supporters". It proves that we are failing badly and fundamentalists are gaining in Turkey and other places. It means we are following wrong policies. We are indirectly responsible for the creation of the terrorist monster. We may have good intentions but the result of our actions is telling us that we being swallowed by this monster. Pakistan is exporting terrorism and we are letting it happen.
In India Journal of April 30, page A- 18 (published from Los Angeles), the article, "We have Credible Information of Terrorists Attack In India:US. On page A-16 of India Journal, "Pak Could use Surrogate Taliban to Use Nukes Against India". These are very scary times for not only India but for the entire world. Pakistan is trying to destabilize the entire region.
I appeal to President Obama, please pay attention to this very serious challenge to USA and world peace. USA must work with India to tackle this menace. India is your true friend.
There is no way we can defeat Islamic terrorism, the way we are doing. Same thing applies to India. There is a better way. Please pay attention to what I can offer.
I am available.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
There are two very nice articles in the latest issue of Newsweek magazine of May 3, 2010 and these are worth reading. These are:
1. Crises of Conscience by Green, Chairman of HSBC and author of Good Value: Reflections on Money, Morality and Uncertain World, page 12: Briefly, it states, "Where did we fell short? What do we do to better shape the future? And what we have learned about ourselves? Our personal happiness -depends upon our commitment to certain guiding principles: treat other people as ends in and of themselves, not just as means to an end; aspire to contribute the most, not to receive the most; strive for balance between family, friendship, and work; and if you should find yourself in a leadership position, focus on service rather than power. The first is to work with integrity-to be honest, trust worthy, and committed to the exchange of value for value". This article is financial meltdown how to behave now to make our world better. Greed and corruption is ruining the world-making the lives of billions miserable. It is like sucking the blood as if we are not human beings.
2. The World Upside Down, Is Greece the new Paraguay?, by Rana Foroohar. Briefly, it states, 'According to the Council on Foreign Relations, America is now the world's major financial gambler, as the governments portfolio had been filled in recent years with riskier assets-the U.S. tends to hold more potentially volatile equities, for example, than other bif nations. America and Britain should not laugh-both countries are in danger of losing their AAA rating if things don't improve. Poor countries are spending more on safer bets..".."World Bank President Robert Zoellick described the issue bluntly two weekd ago when he portrayed the financial crises as the death knell of the old concept of the Third World.."..."Prior to the 1500s, Chinese and Indian per capita GDP were higher than Europe's, and despite major Western advances over the next 200 years, their economies remained larger until the 1800s. Now things are reverting to the way they were. By 2050, China, India and few other key developing countries will represent 60% of the global economy, and the vast majority of the world's middle-class consumers".
A reading of these articles makes one wonder, how USA can change the course. There seems no political will to think differently than has been used to borrow and spend, greed and corruption, dubious ways of conducting business and decline of moral principles as stated in the first article, "Crises of Conscience". I appeal to all please think about about. There is a need for 180 degrees turn in our thinking may it be USA, Europe, China and India and other nations. There is no pride saying that I am better than you. We must work for entire humanity; planet earth is the only one and we must make it beautiful and safe place to live. We have only this planet earth, let us not destroy it.
On other issues in news are:
1. BBC news, Germans baulk at bottomless pits like Greece, Spain and Prtugal and othe debtor nations. Greece's death spiral.
2. Taliban reappear in Swat valley. Taliban militants have resumed killings of local leaders in Pakistan's troubled Swat valley, officials have told BBC.
I would say that without the help of India terrorism would not be under control. Our too much reliance on Pakistan is not the way to go. Islam is being used to kill innocent people and to destabilize the region and making our world unsafe. USA and Europe must change their strategy. India has better ideas to make people of all religions to live in peace. Pakistan is a spoiler country. It has gone too far in the wrong direction.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
It is in the todays news that Greece,s debt has been downgraded to junk status by Standard & Poors. And Europe's debt crises spreads to Portugal. This hrrible news is allover.
President Obama has convened a three day conference-a bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform-started on Monday.
We have news of how Goldman Sachs played the double role-first created the housing bubble and then hugely benefited by shorting. Congress hearing is going on. USA is primarily responsible for engineering ponzy scheme and plunged the world into deep recession.
This is what we are. How can we be role model for the world. Now we are telling China to adjust Yuan so that we can pay back with cheap dollars. It seems USA has become addicted to living beyond means-borrow and spend, spend and go broke. Print money and print more and become like Greece and other irresponsible nations. We do not practice or Congress does not have the political will to to live within means. I pray that this three day conference would provide concrete steps to reduce the deficit. I appeal to both the parties-Democrats and Republicans. Getting elected are not reelected is not important at this late stage when debt is becoming unmanageable. When we die, we cannot take with us fame or money we hoarded. It is our deeds that count in reality. It does not matter what shade of people or Congress is made of of. We are cutting the branch of the tree on which we are sitting. This is very wrong and we must rise to the occasion. It is time to listen to our conscience. It is not the time to cookup the numbers for short term gains. Gains for what! Money? For the lobbyists? For the Party? Or personal gain of power and fame? These are short-lived. These are temporary and meaningless in true sense.
Banking system is full of greed. We have lost our creditability. We are the super power and we have tall principles but we are hollowing our beautiful country. We will suffer if we do not act responsible and along with us the world will suffer. Terrorists have to do nothing, we will crumble due our own self inflicted sins-living beyond means and making people dependent on the government.
Please do something right. It is about time. Please do not make people government dependent. It is said that 43% are already government dependent. Dependency becomes addictive and kills work ethics, creativity and innovation. It kills competition. It kills everything. Greed prosperous in the society.
It is not socialism, it purely destructive. We are destroying the people spirits to embrace good living ethics and ultimately they pay-we all pay.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
There is very critical and analytical article in The Wall Street Journal, page a-21, dated April 20, "An Economy of Liars". It is worth reading. Briefly, it says, "When government and business collude, it is called crony capitalism". We know what Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and other banks in USA. There is no truth-telling and interest of the people by the governments and businesses working in collusion. LA Times of April 20 on page A-1 calls it, "Goldman legal battle may be epic". USA is primarily responsible for the global financial meltdown and saga crony capitalism still goes on.
Take the case of Greece. The Wall Street article, page A-1, dated April 16, "Tragic flaw:Graft Feeds Greek Crises". ..."A study by Brookings Institution finds that bribery, patronage and other public corruption are major contributors to the country's ballooning debt..."
USA is approaching what is happening to Greece and other nations. It is very unfortunate and causing destabilization of free markets and truly speaking the democracy of today is a very sad story. It has become very disturbing trend.
This is a lesson for everyone.
Best,

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
Now the two day Nuclear Security Summit ended on Tuesday with fanfare. I was great start. The next Summit is planned to be in 2012 in South Korea. A lot can happen in between. President Obama correctly said, Terrorists network such as Al Qaeda have tried to acquire...a nuclear weapon, and would surely use it". No doubt about it. We all agree that the danger of falling nuclear weapons in the hands of terrorists is very real and the greatest threat to humanity.
I am sorry to say that we have done an excellent job in diagnosing the problem but are far away from finding the cure. If terrorism is not abated in Pakistan-Afghanistan and Russia and North Caucasus around Russia, we are not safe. Our world is not safe. So, we may have lofty slogans and an impressive Summit communiqué but problem is becoming precarious. The patient is in ICU and we still in the consultation stage and no concrete action plan.
If we cannot address the root cause of terrorism, we certainly are spinning the wheels. The history will not judge us how many Summits or consultations we conduct but what we did. We are certainly no where near to solving the problem. In fact we are feeding into for making our world more dangerous day by day, year after year.
Our love affair with Pakistan where all the troubles start is going to prove a very dangerous love affair.
Take a look at Russia today. There is very good article in The Wall Street Journal on page A21, of April 14, 2010, "Russia's Encounter With Islam". This article is worth reading. It states that Islamic terrorism is on the increase. Chechens are on the Russia's southern flank; today Islamic awareness has spread throughout the North Caucasus. Islamic clerics are speaking out boldly in ways that challenge Moscow directly. But in the 19th century the Russian empire was home to some of the most progressive Muslim thinkers in the world. This happening in spite of bold assertions by the Russian leadership that they will find them and destroy them all.
I begin to believe that world leaders are either shy of tackling this menace or they do not know how to address and defeat this menace. Terrorism is our creation. Our wrong policies have brought us to the brink.
I appeal to all read my book. There is is way. My book work is original and has concrete plan for achieving and prosperity. Trying to just safe guard the nuclear weapons against the terrorists getting hand on these and waiting when they will use it, is like putting cart before the horse.
Think about it. Think deeply. You lose nothing. I am available. Yes, I am not a son of prominent leader or a very famous person. I ask all of you question, if the leaders of today had the answer, we will not be having this summit or monster of terrorism. I appeal again, please pay attention to what I have to offer.
Thank you all.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
News on Pakistan-Afghanistan is scary. According to BBC South Asia news of today i.e. April 13, an article written by guest columnist Ahmed Rashid, "Afghanistan and Pakistan face decisive year. Without Pakistan eliminating Taliban sanctuaries or forcing the Afghan Taliban leadership into talks with Kabul, US success in Afghanistan is is unlikely. If both nations fail to achieve a modicum of political stability and success against extremism and economic growth, the world will be faced with an expansion of Islamic extremism, doubts about the safety of Pakistan's nuclear weapons and major questions about US prestige and power as it withdraws from Afghanistan. So far the prospects are not all that hopeful".
It is not me saying for very a long period that we are passing through a very critical period of history-terrorism is out of control and would engulf us terribly. USA has been supporting Pakistan for decades and now we are paying the price. We have made not only USA insecure but we have indirectly helped the terrorists to blossom. We must accept our failure and start a new beginning.
I have said many times that terrorists are winning not us. We are plunging our world in turmoil. Perhaps, we are listening to our conscience and we are influenced by wrong set of notions and lobbyists.
I appeal to all to convince USA to develop a strategy which is based on facts and right actions to save the world from immense destruction.
For a lasting solution, please read my book. I am available.
Thank you.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
1. Nuclear conference is on the second day. What I read is this that the focus is Iran. A very feeble mention of Pakistan. Hon. President Obama told assembled leaders on Tuesday that nuclear attack, "not by any enemy nation, but from the terrorists-was on the rise despite the end of Cold war". He further described, "cruel irony of history". From Yahoo news of Tuesday it states about the report of Monday by Harvard nonproliferation found that Pakistan's nuclear stockpile was world's least secure from theft or attack.
According to the BBC news of yesterday, a former investigator with the CIA and the US department of energy, Rolf Mowatt-Larssen says there are three headlines that keep him awake in the night:
a. Pakistan loose nukes in the hands of terrorists
b. North Korea supplies terrorists with nuclear bombs
3. Al-Qaeda launches nuclear attack.
Further states that a commission was setup by Congress warned that without decisive action it was more likely than not that a terrorist attack involving WMD would occur by the end of 2013.
On Pakistan Rolf Mowatt-Larssen says:
a.Thare is greater possibility of nuclear meltdown in Pakistan than anywhere else in the world.
b. The region is more violent than any other, the country is unstable, and its arsenal of nuclear weapons is expanding.
c. Once a new plutonium reactor comes on line in the near future, "smaller, more lethal plutonium bombs will be produced in greater numbers".
"As one senior Pakistani general once told me, wrote Bruce Riedel of Brookings Institution last week, the relationship between army and Lashkar-e-Taiba is a family affair".
From the above and what I have written many times, it is important for the nuclear submit to be serious about Pakistan not just be focused on Iran. Otherwise it will be a lost opportunity. A largest gathering of world leaders after 1945 that created United Nations after World War II, would be a meaningless if the Nuclear Summit fails to act decisively in regards to Pakistan.
Please share this with others- forward my e-mail to others. Do not let this crucial issue that affects entire humanity not just USA diedown.
Thank you.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
It is really commendable and praiseworthy that President Obama has called a two day Nuclear safety Summit starting this Monday, April 12, 2010. Prime Ministers and other top officials are attending from 47 countries to work on battle plan to keep nuclear weapons out of reach of terrorists. It is the largest assembly of world leaders hosted by an American president since 1945-the San Francisco conference to establish United Nations.
Honorable President Barack Obama has rightly said that it is "the single biggest threat to U.S. scurity
I am glad that this nuclear threat is being taken seriously. I pray for success of the very critical Summit.
The real question is how the terrorists ideology brew in Pakistan for decades and spread around the world. We continued to look to the other side and kept on pumping billions of dollars and militarily. Our brave soldiers are scarifying their lives for years in that region. For what? For a unstable/failing state, infested by the terrorists and a threat to nuclear material in Pakistan getting in the hands of terrorists? We need to listen to our conscience. No one else to blame for this menace but ourselves.
It is not only U.S.A. that is threatened it can be any country-especially India along with USA and Europe.
We continuously ignored what was taking place in Pakistan. We knew that Pakistan was becoming a terrorists factory and nuclear proliferation was no other than A.Q. Khan of Pakistan. Osama bin Laden the mastermind is still somewhere in Pakistan. We might blame others but all the roads of horrifying nuclear materials and its proliferation potentially getting in the hands of terrorists, originate from Pakistan. Pakistan has become a a primary concern for USA administration in the face of Islamic insurgencies in the region. India has to safeguard its nuclear installation from whom? Terrorism from Pakistan. Today this problem has become a fear of real threat to the entire world not just USA.
It will be worth reading article in The Wall Street Journal, page 8 of April 12.
Pakistan no longer a decent dependable country.
Had we declared Pakistan a terrorist State back in 1993, things could have been much different for the better. I draw your kind attention to Unite States and Pakistan Relations document of House of Representative-May 25, 1993, page H2779. At that time the Speaker pro tempore was Mr. McNutly. In that document on page H2779, it is stated that the State Department was considering classifying Pakistan as a terrorist state.
I hope this time U.S.A. and world leaders would not shirk from their duty to do the right thing-declare Pakistan a terrorist state. As long as we shirk from admitting our mistakes and not taking appropriate action(s), this great opportunity will be lost.
British (Sir Winston Churchill liked Mohammed Ali Jinnah who was instrumental in the creation of Pakistan.) made the blunder by dividing India and helped to create a Pakistan. Now we know its consequences. I hope we do not repeat the same mistake now. There is no room for deepdivisions between the State Department and Pantagon. President has recognized the nuclear threat. Now U.S.A. needs to act and be decisive otherwise history would not forgive us.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
It is a continuation of my concerns regarding world affairs.
In the latest Newsweek magazine of April 12 page 6, there two short articles as following:
1. Europe. Agrees to disagree on foreign policy: It states that Rising states of China, India, Turkey, and Brazil are challenging the old democracies as never before. All the players are working on its own. Turkey does its own thing as it pleases. USA does its own way, China does its own way and it amounts to a fragmented world not a multi-polar world. No one listens to no body. Europe is in limbo.
After World War II, we were suppose to behave responsibly and have working relationship to ease tensions. But now it looks like we are increasing tension levels around the world. What will be the consequence of it, we would have to wait. It does not seem good. Terrorism, poverty, nuclear race and proliferations, deep racial divisions like we see in Iraq and other places, there is no cohesive policy from any corner. Looks like USA is abandoning the ship and so is Europe.
2. India is annoyed by U.S.: In it it is stated that Barrack Obama is in danger of reversing all the progress his predecessors made in forging ties with the world's largest democracy, India. Through increased trade, military cooperation, and landmark 2008 nuclear deal, the last three presidents have transformed a strained Cold war rivalry into a close strategic partnership, etc.
This new trend is not only perplexing but very unhealthy not for the two nations but for the entire world. It seems U.S.A. is more leaning towards Pakistan-a terrorists and a failing state. It is indeed very bad and dangerous foreign policy shift of U.S.A.
It is in the news that a 28-year old IT teacher Marayam Sharipova of the two sucide bombers who blew herself up at a Moscow Metro station was the wife of Magomedali Vagapov who was trained in Pakistan. Now, one can see Pakistan trained terrorists are everywhere. It is not a joke. It is a very alarming real threat to world peace. USA is aligning with Pakistan is a very destructive for not only USA, Europe, India but for the entire world.
It seems that elements of dangerous people have penetrated the US government. Their agenda is not peace but to slowly and slowly convert the world to fanatic misguided ideology of Islam. How come Pentagon support the notion of favoring Pakistan over India knowing Pakistan's record speaks for itself-as I reported previously below. How come there are deep divisions between the State Department and Pentagon? I appeal to President Barack Obama and Congress, please do not listen to baseless claims of Pakistan against India. India is our true friend. Today we have gone farther and farther away from what great saints have said, "God is truth and truth is God". But we cannot be instrumental in creating troubles around the world. Entire world is suffering of terrorism which is primarily generated from Pakistan. Pakistan is not our friend. I do not hate anyone. I believe, "Love all, serve all". But Pakistan has gone too far. There is no difference between Afghanistan and Pakistan. We we are in Afghanistan, we should be first in Pakistan. Pakistan is not helping us. Pakistan is deceiving us. We are being trapped by Pakistan's leadership.
But a lasting solution lies in embracing the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi as I have said many times.
Respectfully,
Santosh C. Verma

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
I read a very disturbing article in The Wall Street Journal of April 5, 2010 on page A10, "U.S. Aims to Ease India Pakistan Tension". Essentially this article says that U.S. needs to put pressure on India to listen to bogus claims of Pakistan. It states that a debate continues within the administration over how hard to push India, which has long resisted outside intervention in the conflict with its neighbor. The Pentagon, in particular, has sought more pressure on New Delhi...The discussion in Washington over how to approach India as Pakistan ratchets up requests that U.S. intercede in series of continuing disputes". It is deplorable. Perhaps U.S. leadership and Pentagon is not aware what India is. As I said before, India is the gateway to world peace. World should not forget Mahatma Gandhi who came from India. The soul of India, the core values of India are most suited for world peace.
If a country like Pakistan is our friend then we do not need any enemies. A terrorist country and trouble maker around the world is telling us what to do and we succumb to it is not only a failure of our leadership but a stab in the chest of our Founding Fathers and ideals we stand for. I love America. I love America and care about it. I love America of its greatness. But sorry to say the way we are handling world affairs and domestic fiscal affairs, I am deeply saddened. It is about time that we pay attention to our Founding Fathers and ideals. India is our true friend. If we continue wrong policies, we may become instrumental in triggering World War III. Iraq is in bad shape (Deadly bombs in Baghdad Piont to Divisions, The Wall Street Journal article of April 5, page 13), Pakistan is infested with terrorists (The innocent people of Pakistan has been brainwashed by the leadeship of Pakistan to the extent that fundamentalism, fanatism and hate India and USA and West is now more a lifestyle. Killings and sucide bombings are routine (Taliban stages attack outside U.S. Consulate, LA Times April 6, page A6). We must be fearful of nuclear installation getting in the hands of Talibans and Al qaeda and fanatic groups). Afghanistan is out of control. We are supporting the wrong side all the time. We have not been able to pursuade Iran to abondon the nuclear program of destruction. List goes on and on.
I can say with confidence, U.S. is failing in every front. This is scary. It is really very scary. We are not working how to achieve peace and prosperity. We, with good intensions but following wrong policies are fueling dishonesty and deep gulf between people and nations-more wars and eventually major war-World War III. We helped to free France and end World War II but now we may be instrumental in plunging the world into World War III. We are becoming weaker and weaker by our own actions.
Perhaps, U.S. does not know how to fix the problems facing internally and externally. This is where India comes into picture-especially for achieving world peace. With the help of India we can dream to have a better world. Pressuring India to appease Pakistan-a terrorists state? It does not make sense. It is wrong and counter-productive.
I have been in this country since 1971. I am proud U.S. Citizen. I have been in search of how to achieve peace for decades. I joined as International Circle member (paid $3500 yearly plus other costs) Los Angeles World Affairs Council with the hope that world leaders who come to World Affairs Council would have the answer but alas no one presented a plan. I went places to places, met leaders. Read books but finally I realised that I must spreade the message of peace. Yes, I am not a known entity but my ideas are worth trying. Nothing to lose.
Why I say India is the gateway to world peace? The following is for your kind information. This is my address which was prepared for another occasion. It also has a window how to achieve peace For more details please read my book, "How to Achieve worldwide prosperity and Peace". It is available on Amazon.com.

Now on the economic front:
1. LA Times article, April 6, page A1, "City controller says L.A. could go broke within four weeks;
2. LA Times article of April 6, page A11, "The $500 billion pension time bomb. The state's staggering unfunded debt stands to crowd out many popular programs. The State of California's real unfunded pension debt colcks in at more than $500 billion, nearly 8 times greater than officially reported".
Thoughful analysis: It is very scary. We are looking like more like Japan, Greece and other nations in big trouble. It is not necessarily the culprit is pension money setaside for the retirees of states, cities or Fedral. Pension program has been arounf for 100 of years for a good reason. Actuarily it was a sound program. May some adjustment are neede but to throwout this and increase welfare programs is a condition for bringing the country to a downfall. It is largely because we have been living beyond means and have exponencially expanded programs which we cannot afford in the first place. The political leaders kept on borrowing to satify their constituents. Today we are approaching the day of recokening bause of our blunders of the past and our continued philosophy of winning elections and our decisions are influenced by the lobbiysts. We are created a monster. Again, I invoke the ideals of our Founding Fathers and the maxim of live within means. We have created and continue to create a society where people are becoming work shy and welfare dependent. We are tossing out creativity, innovation and hard work. Americans do not know what poverty is. A real poverty is for those billions around the globe who do not earn more than $1.50 per day. We must be thankful that we are in America of plenty. But we must work for it. We must contribute and not look for towards the government support.
I appeal to you all, please make the right decisions, how hard and unpopular may be.
God bless us all.

Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
I read article in Business Week magazine of April 22, 2010, pages 60 and 61, "A tear in Japan's Safety net. Move by JAL and Mitsubishi to cut pension may signal the demise of trust based corporate culture". People are bewildered and asking, "How can you just throw away a contract". This article is worth reading. Japan has been in recession for around 25 years in spite of government bailouts. Japan has the highest debt in the world.
This is coming to USA too. Governments and businesses are looking how to squeeze the middle class-their assets, pension and increase taxes-make their lives miserable. Working is becoming a curse. Get what you can from the government by not working.
Problem is not the pension, it living beyond means. Governments have become used to mushroom the programs with heavy borrowings and when the system collapses they try to find faults and escape goats. They cannot do anything to the greedy and irresponsible bankers and others; instead they get bonuses in billions of dollars in spite of their poor performance and bad behavior.
American people are becoming accustomed to work shy and welfare dependent country. The creativity and innovation and acquiring necessary skills are becoming thing of the past. Government will provide every thing. Your check is guaranteed by the government if you are on welfare. Middle class is being crushed. Innovation and creativity is going out the door.
I again appeal to please pay attention to my ideas-read my book. I am available. So far I have not met anyone who has presented a viable solution for our problems. If we ignore, I am afraid we are going to face disastrous consequences. In fact, human race is headed towards self-destruction. There are many other challenges like population wxplosion, shortages of natural resources, etc., etc.

Subject: Terrorism, financial collapse and USA and Europe in debt
Date: Mon, 5 Apr 2010 09:12:39 -0700Dear honorable, media professionals and fellows,
I have been writing time to time with the hope that our politicians would wake and do the right things like our Founding Fathers did for us.
We are passing through very critical times.
Terrorism:
Terrorism is out of control. Take a look at what is happening in Russia-one after the other horrible attacks by the suicide bombers. Today bomber kills 2 and Islamic insurgency is spreading. Previously Russian President Dmitry Medev said that more cruel measures to fight the scum responsible for terrorists attacks. Prime Minister Valdmir Putin vowed to "drag out of the sewer" those behind twin bombings that killed 39 people last Monday in busiest Moscow's subway. Russians want to win this war. Would they?
So is USA wants to win this war. Most recently six Militants targeted U.S. Consulate in Peshawar, Pakistan. Pakistan is our ally, our friend, and we want to give every thing to Pakistan-an epicenter of terrorism, responsible for nuclear proliferation, unstable country. A nuclear Pakistan is a danger if Taliban's and Al qaeda control Pakistan. ISI of Pakistan is with the terrorists to what extent USA and India knows this. We want to equip Pakistan militarily and otherwise and give Pakistan civil nuclear deal what India has-we want Pakistan to be at par with India. Is it a great idea or a recipe for disaster. It seems, we are responsible in spreading terrorism. India is a democratically elected government of 1.2 billion. It has a vibrant, free, and open press. A country of multitudes of diversity. How can we ignore this? How can? Do we want to let India suffer at the hands of terrorists? I do not think so that it is our intent. But certainly our actions do not support it. Are we controlled by the lobbyists? This only Congress can answer to it. Please remember, "India is the gateway to world peace". Open a new era of strong ties with India. Terrorism is global and it is spreading all over-Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Philippine,Nigeria, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Indonesia to name a few.
In my opinion and based upon the facts known to us, USA, Europe and Russia and others do not know how to address the menace of terrorism. I am more and more convinced that world does not know how to address this menace. The result is that we are losing this war on terror not winning. It can be safely said that eventually terrorists would win. It might take decades.
Our Economy:
On the economic front we are postponing the day of reckoning. We Americans have been taught, " borrow and spend and spend until we go broke", instead of having the "mantra" of, "save and spend responsibly". This borrow and spend applies to all, U.S. Government, Congress approves and approves and continues to increase debt, businesses and average American all are taught to borrow otherwise the consumer is blamed that they are not spending enough. We keep the interest rates so low that 90% of people cannot earn reasonable interest rate. Seniors go broke or forced to go to stock market and take high risk when they are already not working. Their savings are the only way to live and earn some interest money. It is said that average savings are about $10K for 43% of the people. National debt according to some is around $50 trillion. Federal Government is broke, State after State are broke, Cities are broke and the people are broke. We find short term ways to show our economy is better. Stock market is doing good. This type of illusion continues. People become happy then suddenly another bubble comes that wipes out the Americans and worldwide. We are not promoting responsible capitalism. We are promoting gimmickry, scheming to milk people, greed and corruption has become the "mantra" of our capitalism. It seems that Congress only cares about how to get elected.
This is sad and very devastating.
Americans are SACRIFICING their buying power, quality of life, and family's future is on the altar of political convenience … So we are going broke but no one cares.
We are world leaders but people are losing faith in our institutions worldwide. Our decisions are not worthy to achieve prosperity and peace.
The only way is to pay attention to what I offer. Please read my book. It is available on Amazon.com.
Thank you.
Respectfully submitted,
Santosh C. Verma
